Mystery Unit

Below you will see my little second graders posing as detectives.  You will see them working with detective vocabulary words and looking closely at their fingerprints.  They drew their hand twice.  They colored the end of each finger they drew on the sheet.  Next, they rubbed that finger on each darkened finger on the paper.  I then placed a small piece of tape on their finger.  They took the tape off and placed it on the second drawn hand on the white piece of paper.  They loved looking at our fingerprint chart to determine what kind of fingerprint they had.
